Information on the IVF Fund

The Fertility Center of Goldenes Kreuz Private Hospital has a contract with the IVF Fund. Under certain conditions, the IVF Fund will cover 70% of the treatment and medication costs. The patients are expected to pay 30% of the costs per attempt.

A brief summary of the conditions that must be met for cost coverage:

  • Medical indication (at least one criterion must be met):
    • Functional disruption of the fallopian tubes (tube blockage)
    • PCO syndrome
    • Endometriosis (surgically confirmed)
    • Male infertility (pathospermy)
  • Age: The woman may not be older than 40. The man may not be older than 50.
  • Health insurance: Both partners must submit proof of coverage by a statutory health insurance fund, a healthcare assistance organization or a private health insurance provider (including proof of consent to pay the remaining share of the costs).
  • Main place of residence: At least one of the partners must have their main place of residence in Austria.
  • Nationality: Special rules apply depending on nationality.
