At the Goldenes Kreuz our patients are cared for by experienced medical practitioners who are specialists in anesthesia and intensive care in all the usual methods of anesthesia and postoperative pain therapy. Goldenes Kreuz is also very experienced in minimizing pain during childbirth.

In obstetric care, we use epidural anesthesia (EDA) – in the form of the so-called “walking epidural”, which allows the mother to remain almost fully mobile. A medical specialist with experience in this procedure is available 24 hours a day.

As part of our regular information evenings on “minimizing pain in childbirth,” expectant mothers can find out early in pregnancy about the various methods of pain relief.

For patients with other acute or chronic pain conditions, senior physician Max Gosch, MD, is available for consultation at the Goldenes Kreuz Private Hospital.
