Discharge

The time of your discharge from hospital will be decided in discussion with your attending doctor. You may be discharged on any day of the week – including on Sundays and public holidays – once your doctor has made his/her ward visit. When planning your journey home from the hospital, we request that you keep our general check-out time of 11:00 a.m. in mind.

We are particularly concerned to ensure that you have the best possible support following your discharge from the hospital. A qualified member of our nursing team will discuss your discharge with you. He/she will advise you on any appropriate outpatient care services, and can arrange these for you if you wish.

  • Mobile nurses

Confirmation of hospital stay
If you need a formal confirmation of your hospital stay, our Reception team will be happy to provide this for you to take with you on discharge. We are of course also happy to mail the confirmation to you.

Transport to your home
We will gladly organize a taxi to take you home, or (if medically indicated) arrange for transport by ambulance.

The discharge formalities can be completed at any time of day (including at weekends).

Billing for your stay will be completed after you have been discharged, and where appropriate any invoices will be sent to you by post.
